Governor Holds Capitol Press Conference Regarding State Budget

GOVERNOR SCHWARZENEGGER: Good afternoon, everybody. Today I just want to talk to you briefly, first of all, about a helicopter crash and then afterwards talk about the budget.

There was a terrible tragedy last night when a helicopter carrying firefighters crashed and was destroyed in Trinity County. Four survivors are being treated at hospitals with severe injuries. Nine remain unaccounted for and the FAA has said that they did not survive. [more]
